2. What information we collect

Dealish.ai is designed to collect as little data as possible. Specifically:

• Search queries — when you type a search into Dealish (e.g. "Nike trainers"), that query is sent to our server to find relevant deals. We do not store search queries against any identifier that could identify you personally.
• Standard server logs — like all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you visit. These logs are used for security and debugging purposes and are retained for a maximum of 90 days.
• Cookies — Dealish.ai does not set any cookies on your device. Fonts are self-hosted and no data is sent to Google. When you click a "Get deal" link you may be redirected via an affiliate network, which may set cookies on its own domain to track whether a purchase is made — this is covered in detail in section 4. We use Plausible Analytics for cookieless, anonymous usage statistics — no cookies are set and no personal data is stored by Plausible on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or any other personal details. No account creation is required to use Dealish.

3. How we use your information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Return relevant deal results in response to your search query
• Maintain the security and performance of our service
• Diagnose and fix technical issues

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making that affects you.

The legal basis for processing your search query is contract performance — we cannot return deal results without processing it. The legal basis for retaining server logs is legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in maintaining the security and reliability of our service. The legal basis for Plausible Analytics is legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used in order to improve it.

We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Dealish does not set cookies on your device. Affiliate network cookies are set by the affiliate network on their own domain when you click a deal link — these are third-party cookies outside our control and are described in section 4.

4. Affiliate links and third party websites

Dealish earns revenue through affiliate marketing. When you click a "Get deal" link on Dealish, you are directed to a third party retailer website via a tracked affiliate link. This means:

• The retailer and/or affiliate network may set their own cookies on your device to track whether a purchase is made
• If you make a purchase, Dealish may receive a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you
• We have no control over the data practices of third party retailer websites — please refer to their own privacy policies before making a purchase

Affiliate tracking is how Dealish is funded and kept free to use. We only surface deals we believe are genuinely useful — our affiliate relationships do not influence which deals appear first, which are determined by deal quality and relevance to your search.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with any third party.

We may share limited technical data with the following service providers who help us run Dealish:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our hosting infrastructure, operating from UK and EU data centres (eu-west-2 London and eu-west-1 Ireland). Data processed by AWS remains within the UK/EU and is covered by AWS's Data Processing Addendum. AWS privacy policy.
• Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible to understand how visitors use Dealish. Plausible is cookieless and does not collect personal data such as your name or email address. It receives your IP address (used to derive an approximate country, then discarded), browser type, referring URL, and the pages you visit. When you perform a search, the search query you entered is also recorded as a custom event so we can understand what people are looking for. • Our affiliate network — when you click a "Get deal" link, your click is routed through our affiliate network partner's tracking system to enable commission attribution if you complete a purchase. The affiliate network receives standard technical click data (such as a click identifier and referring URL). We do not transmit your search query or any other personal details to the affiliate network. We will update this section with the specific network name and a link to their privacy policy once our affiliate partnerships are established.

All data is hosted within the UK and EU. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from a public authority.

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days before being deleted.

Search queries are not stored beyond the time required to return your results.

7. Your rights under UK GDPR

As a UK-based service, we operate under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the following rights:

• Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Right to erasure — you can request that we delete your personal data
• Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to object — you can object to how we process your data
• Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
• Right to data portability — you can request a copy of personal data you have provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format

While our server logs contain IP addresses (which may constitute personal data under UK GDPR), we do not link these to any named individual or account. As a result, it may not always be possible to locate or delete records relating to a specific person. If you have a request or concern, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.

8. Children

Dealish is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example, when we add analytics or launch new features. When we make significant changes we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
